Do your self a favour and start meditating. In fact I highly recommend it to all my hypnotherapy clients. It helps your brain neurons to form more and stronger connections to each other. It can lead to a healthier brain, and helps with age-related brain changes such as loss of function. It also helps you to develop a strong ability to deal with and process negative emotions such as fear, anger and grief.

Meditation is an inner experience that benefits your body, mind, and spirit on a whole. It is a process of taking your attention and awareness away from "discursive thinking" to help you achieve mental clarity, calm emotions and a stable state. This can be done in many forms or ways. This can help you enjoy life as it unfolds. Discursive thinking refers to an ongoing flow of thoughts that can distract us from the present moment, such as worry, mental chatter and distraction, the mind jumping from one thing to another, future plans or past thoughts.

The benefits of meditation are improved focus, boost emotional stability, deepens self-awareness, enhances sleep quality, can strengthen immunity and mental resilience. Just to name a few.

How to Meditate

Make an intention, or can be intentional mind clearing.

Find a comfortable, quiet spot where you won't be disturbed.

It is best to sit up in a comfortable chair, on the floor or meditation cushion where your back is straight, your legs are loosely crossed, and your hands can be folded or in open position.

Close your eyes.

Take in some breaths.

Focus on your breathe.

Try to just release out of your mind any stress, negative self talk, or other.

Initially try to meditate for 2-5 minutes, about 5 days a week.

You can work yourself up to longer as you get better at it. 

We are not looking for perfection, just progression.
